Chaim V’Chessed
Life in Israel is complex at the best of times. It’s a country full of red tape and constantly changing policies, confusing medical terms and inflexible systems. For English speakers, these challenges are further compounded by language barriers, cultural differences and lack of connections. And when a crisis hits, the challenge can go from difficult to nearly impossible.
Chaim V’Chessed is staffed by experts who are equipped to provide English speakers in Israel with the answers, advocacy and guidance they so desperately need. Our range of activities includes hospital assistance, governmental dealings, special education, kupot cholim, infertility, bereavement and more.
From the most critical, even life-threatening issues to the obstacles inherent in just getting through each day, there is no problem too large nor too small to warrant concern.
Tiferet Boys
Tiferet Boys programs are designed to help high school and post high school young men lead a purposeful and healthy lifestyle in the orthodox Jewish community. Through their commitment to Torah learning, as well as having a personal connection with Torah educators and personalities, these young men experience a deep connection to Torah and Mitzvot as individuals, while feeling a part of and contributing to the greater Torah community.
Tiferet Girls- Tovanot
Tiferet Girls-Tovanot is an enrichment program that works together with schools throughout Israel in order to help teenage girls face and navigate these challenging times. The program offers an enjoyable and growth oriented setting, while given through an educational format in a warm and accepting environment. Through Tiferet’s Tovanot programs, workshops and Q &A sessions, the girls build a stronger spiritual and emotional resilience, and begin connecting to Torah and Mitzvot on a deeper, more personal level.

Medical Aid
A medical crisis is a frightening and vulnerable time for the patient and his family, physically, emotionally and often financially. In His Image has a network of volunteers who locate Israelis facing health challenges and medical crises. Through this network, individuals in need can receive aid and resources quietly, quickly and efficiently.
Programs include:
Supplementary Medical Subsidies
Often medication exists, but its cost is not covered by Israeli health insurance. Our medication fund subsidizes the cost of effective treatments to heal patients with life-threatening illnesses. Additionally, many cancer treatments and other life-saving procedures are not covered by insurance. IHI guarantees that a family’s financial inability will not get in the way of saving a life.
Cancer Patient Family Care Program
Parents are overwhelmed with the job of caring for a child with cancer. Often, the rest of the household is sadly neglected. Just $1,000 a month for three crucial months provides families with cleaning help, tutoring for the patient’s siblings and financial assistance to keep the family afloat.
Medical Financial Aid
Families dealing with a medical crisis often need a cash allocation to help defray the myriad expenses.
Children with Special Needs
Having a child with special needs is a tremendous challenge for a family. The child and family both require sensitive support. In His Image provides for specific care, therapies and programs for these children.
